Coming from the Tayag family of Pampanga who are famous for their exquisite cuisine, cooking, shall we say, runs in the blood for Mrs. Filonila Tayag-Lansang.  What started as a genuine love for eating and entertaining with family and friends in her home became bigger than expected.  People started asking her  to cook for their different functions.  Catering became an inevitable business for Imang Nila  with the growing request for her cooking.  At that time, there was no established venue to hold special occasions,  often  the Tayag-Lansang  home  was opened  for the different parties being catered.

 

In November of 1981,  BATIS ASUL, Kapampangan words meaning Blue Spring  was established as a swimming pool resort facility,  which eventually led to house the catering services.

 

The business has since grown, matured and expanded.   We now do off-premise services too.  We have done weddings in Baguio City, and Corporate functions as far as San Juan, Batangas.  We have done all sorts of catering services possible,  from as little as a Romantic date for 2  to a Company Christmas Party of 3000+  guests.

 

The management of Batis Asul Catering is now being handled by the second generation who grew up absorbing the Foodies Lifestyle. Food and Beverage is  headed by Lynette Lansang Kottis she is a graduate of Hotel and Restaurant Administration at the University of the Philippines in Diliman and has worked for Marriot Hotel in San Francisco. Sales & Marketing, and Metro Manila & Out of Town Operations is handled by Jun Cruz, a graduate of Mechanical Engineering at De La Salle University and the Finance  and Human Resources Departments are being overseen by Joy Lansang- Cruz, also a graduate of De La Salle University who took up AB Psychology.  Under these departments is a roster of more than 70 employees.  Just like the management, most of these personnel chefs, waiters and staff are members of the second and third generation, their fathers and/or mothers worked for Batis Asul  during their time,  thus we can boast of  trust, quality,  and total team work.
